Save the date for a visit to the world’s largest particle accelerator at CERN in Geneva, location of the Large Hadron Collider, famously enabling CERN’s researchers to discover evidence of the Higgs boson. CERN is the birthplace of the World Wide Web, but it is much better known for its cutting edge physics research. Learn more in an introductory presentation, followed by a film and tour of the experimental areas.
The plan is to see the massive underground LHC accelerator experimental area, unless an unexpected event makes that impossible. We aim to inform a day in advance if the LHC part will be replaced by a visit to another experiment.
