“Boréal” business story “behind the scenes” and Specialty Coffee Atelier

Owned by INSEAD Alum Peter Romain, MBA’94, Geneva-based Boréal has been proudly leading Switzerland’s specialty coffee scene since 2009, with a mission that is simple yet bold: caffeinate the world by democratizing specialty coffee!
We will join Peter and his team as they take us on a journey behind the scenes of the Boréal business story, full of inspiring lessons and remarkable insights. From acquiring a coffee business just before the pandemic hit, to reimagining their business model as customer behavior and competitive dynamics change the playing field – their journey is nothing short of fascinating. Along the way, they will challenge how we experience coffee by showing us just how much more there is to discover.
Peter and his team will then guide us in a Specialty Coffee Atelier. You will get a chance to try your hands at extracting the perfect espresso, shaking up your own espresso martini and testing your artistic credentials with latte art. It’s all about embracing the full Coffee House experience, together!
